Gilza™ Sutures (Polyglycolic Acid Sutures)

Description: GILZA™ (Polydioxanone-PDO) is a synthetic absorbable monofilament surgical suture material prepared from polyester poly (dioxanone).

Reabsorption time: Reliable absorbability by hydrolysis. Predictable absorption (loss of mass) and high in vivo strength retention. USP3/0 (EP Metric 2.0) and larger size Average 75% of the original tensile strength at 2 weeks. Average 70% of the original tensile strength at 4 weeks. Average 50% of the original tensile strength at 6 weeks. USP4/0 (EP Metric 1.5) and smaller size Average 60% of the original tensile strength at 2 weeks. Average 50% of the original tensile strength at 4 weeks. Average 50% of the original tensile strength at 6 weeks. Predictable absorption (loss of mass) in 180 to 220 days.

Available length: From 150, 120, 100, 90, 80, 75, 70, 60, 50, 45 and 30 cm, with one or two or without needle, from one thread to 10 threads above.
Type of final presentation: The envelopes containing the sutures are packaged in a duly identified and protected with a cardboard box laminating plastic thermocontractable. The quantity can be: 12, 24 or 36 envelopes in each box.
